In general, infertility is defined as not being able to get pregnant (conceive) after one year (or longer) of unprotected sex. 48,5 million couples worldwide have difficulties conceiving a baby. Fortunately, the chances of achieving parenthood are high for couples undergoing fertility treatment. However, the cycle of therapy includes not only hormonal injections, but also high compliance.

Moreover, everything during the treatment requires an high level of accuracy. For these reasons the therapy is difficult to manage, time consuming and psychologically demandind.

The solution

SARA is a mobile healthcare application that aims at improving the overall experience of patients undergoing infertility treatments by leveraging on the interaction between the patient and her healthcare professionals.

SARA is able to achieve this ambitious goal thanks to 3 main functionalities:

  1. Organization of the therapy through a calendar and it allows for real-time sharing of information about the treatment between the doctor and the patient
  2. It provides psychological support via our Emotional Artificial Intelligence chatbot based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  3. It contains all the verified medical information needed by the patient when she is on her own (drug dosages, injection techniques, FAQ).

SARA has the aim to improve the performance of clinics by decreasing the drop-out rate and avoiding unnecessary costs.
