Start-Up Lab DemoDay 2019

At the Start-Up Lab Demo Day , only the 10 best projects will be presented. The students will look for praise and approval, and eventually for an investment. But who will evaluate them?

The Start-Up Lab Team has selected an heterogeneous group of professionals, both Italians and internationals, with several years of experience in assessing projects in the fields of technology and innovation.

Roberto Napoli
Roberto Napoli
Assistant to the Rector

Roberto collected several experiences in different sectors and countries before starting his career at the University of Trento. He explored the innovativeness of the financial sectors in Italy, Germany and Switzerland during his Master in Management in Lugano and his PhD in Economics of Innovation in Milan (IULM). As an Assistant to the Rector of the University of Trento, his main task is to enhance international students’ experience in Trento especially in the area of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Furthermore, he serves as a business advisor for innovation for companies and as a mentor for young Start Ups especially in Trento’s labs of Business and Entrepreneurship.

CEO and co-founder Kissmybike

Nadya is an ambitious social researcher, marketer and communicator. In 2015, these jobs merged into being the CEO of KMB Lab. She holds a Master degree in Information and Communication studies from the Belarusian State University, and PhD in Sociology and Social research from the University of Trento. In KMB Lab together with her partners she launched the brand Kissmybike and raised about €400K for its development.

Business Angel

Andrea Bolner is the co-founder of Top Evolutions, a start-up who launched Shelly, a smart city app to share information about the safety of city places based on geolocalization of the users. He is specialized in consulting, being a founder of Concilium Consulting, and in business development, with BanTN. He is also an official member of the Italian Business Angel Network.

Vice-Director Incubation Area and Startup

Luca is an electronic engineer with 20 years’ experience, first as a researcher in ICT field in FIAT Research Centre - and afterwards as an expert in the support of SME’s in the startup process, innovation and technology transfer activities, in his current hosting company, the Development Agency of the Autonomous Province of Trento (Trentino Sviluppo). He is the Deputy Manager of the Incubation and Startup Department, managing startup incubation activities (120 companies are hosted in 6 B.I.C.’s) and projects that support and advice SME’s in innovation, industrial research projects as well as business model strategic development. He is the Vice-president of the Italian Association of Science and Technology Parks, named APSTI and expert of EBN, the European Business Innovation Centre Association.

Senior Business Developer and Analyst of Invitalia

Susanna is a Project Manager and Business Analyst of Invitalia – the National Agency for inward investment and economic development. Susanna holds a MA degree in Economics from the University of Perugia and has been working for 22 years in the area of EU and national funds for SME’s, evaluating more than 500 business projects. Susanna supports the creation and growth of innovative startups and provides technical support services to Ministry of Economic Development to design, develop and manage financial instruments with EU and national funds.


Federico Guerrini

Communications Lead at EIT Digital

Federico is Communications Lead for EIT Digital, Pan-European organization responsible for guiding digital transformation on the continent, emanating from the European Institute of Technology. For EIT Digital, Federico coordinates the communication of all innovation activities at European level. Previously, always for EIT Digital, it dealt with the European communication of the line of action on Digital Industry and that relating to Italy. Before that, he worked for several years as a technology and innovation journalist writing, in English and Italian, for some of the major national and international newspapers: from Forbes to La Stampa, from L'Espresso to Zdnet.
