SoI-UniTrento offers you a possibility to create your own unique programme combining a wide range of courses focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship from different scientific perspectives. You will get both wide interdisciplinary technical knowledge and a set of highly-appreciated soft skills such as communication, leadership, team work, and problem solving.

Embark on an
innovation journey!

The School of Innovation is an innovation journey that lasts one scholastic year and brings together talented students from all UniTrento departments. In order to complete the programme and get the Innovation Certificate you need to collect 12 extra-curricular credits choosing from three categories of courses.

You will be able to choose among more than 30 courses that are taught by university professors as well as external lecturers selected among successful entrepreneurs, managers, and consultants.

Essentials

These courses provide basic knowledge and skills for becoming an innovator such as how to generate an innovative idea, how to be a better speaker or how to go out from you comfort zone by performing at the theatre stage.

Domain

Courses divided into four scientific areas (computer science, industrial engineering, biotech and sociology ) that provide cutting-edge trends and insights in domains that differ from your own background, boosting multidisciplinarity of your profile.

Innovation and entrepreneurship tools

Courses that provide knowledge and skills in specific areas of innovation and entrepreneurship: business models, marketing, business strategy, brand development, multicultural negotiation, international alliances, or intellectual property rights.

Innovation Certificate

In order to get the “Innovation Certificate”, the students are asked to obtain at least 12 ECTS. One credit corresponds to 6 hours of classes and other activities, such as laboratories, seminars, guest lectures, or team work. The “Innovation Certificate” gives an important comparative advantage to SoI students over other candidates at the job market.

Upon completion of our program and getting the Innovation certificate, your chances to be hired by start-ups, SMEs or large companies will grow exponentially, as you will know how to come up with a novel idea, protect your patents, develop a sustainable action plan and find ways of financing it. Finally, you will be provided the tools necessary for becoming an entrepreneur yourself and for starting your own innovative, independent business.
